Calibration Technician will be working under minimal supervision and will be responsible for performing relatively operational checks, preventative maintenance checks and accuracy verifications of measurement and test equipment used in Manufacturing Production as well as facilitating the offsite or in-house calibration by an approved vendor for various pieces of equipment for groups such as Final QA Test.
Responsibilities Maintain the calibration database via GAGEpack software.
Introduction, identification, and control of all calibrated equipment for Manufacturing and Test of Laser Products Manage the calibration program of the manufacturing environment and associated practices for all inspection, test, and measuring equipment.
Identify and support the implementation of best practices to provide consistently high level of timely calibration services.
Review calibration test results and certificates for accuracy.
Train equipment owners in use of the calibration program.
Communicate status of all calibrated equipment to equipment owners.
Schedule all in-house calibrations, repairs, diagnostics, and modification of industrial process control instrumentation.
Track all tools requiring special repair/calibration by an external vendor:
Schedule on-site and off-site calibrations.
Maintain documentation for continued certification and utilization of external calibration laboratories.
Create / Submit purchase order requests.
Track receipt and payment of services.
Address issues that arise during calibration of equipment by external vendors.
Spares management (ordering, tracking, stocking, replacement, backup levels).
Create and sustain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Maintain the ESD maintenance database via GAGEpack software.
Responsible for understanding and using proper ESD procedures.
Perform the installation and maintenance of ESD surfaces.
Understand and perform scheduled work surface resistance measurements per current documented procedures.
Area organization and housekeeping.
